I was hesitant to give up my Vokeys, having played them forever, but I wanted to try to these wedges when I bought my F:aktor irons, mostly to maintain consistent shaft weighting. I’m glad that I did. After a couple of practice sessions a couple of rounds, the adjustment was complete, and I haven’t seen any fall-off in performance or scoring. In fact, I’ve come to really appreciate the spin, precision, and crispness of these wedges. And at these prices, I can buy three new wedges every 12 months. Sharpening grooves is ok, but there’s nothing like new wedges every season,
The soles are very versatile and loft-appropriate. Because I’m a digger, I bought the 50/54/58 combo and bent the 54 and 58 one degree weak to add another degree of bounce. Perfect solution. As I wrote in my review of the F:lagship irons, just give yourself a little time to adjust to the carbon shafts. The lighter weight is actually really handy on delicate shots around the green.
I ordered this wedge from Joel about 3 weeks ago. Not only did he reach out to me personally for confirmation but the club got to me in a week. The wedge is beautifully made with everything I asked for. It also has great feel on the course. Hoping to buy more from him in the future.
These wedges are nothing short of amazing. The bounce/grind is perfect for most shots you'd play around the greens in almost all conditions. Enough relief to open the face a fair bit, enough bounce to not dig, just a wonderful wedge.
